Sound Forge 8.0 Scripting

One of my other hobbies besides developing software is audio editing. Working with Sound Forge for a couple of years now, I just upgraded to Sound Forge 8.0. Scripting is one of the new features and while it has a certain “version 1.0” feeling to it, it’s nice to see the preferred choice of “scripting language”:

  • Yeah, I think Sony (or Sonic Foundry before that) are into .Net - ACID 5 uses it to manage its sample library. Can you script SF8 from the outside (ie, use it as a library), or only through the UI?

  • Unfortunately the help file doesn't go beyond creating/calling/managing scripts and refers to the website for the API doc -- which doesn't seem to be online yet.
